The trout aren’t suffering at all so I wouldn’t call this mismanagement.
People call it mismanagement because they have no idea what they are talking about. They think they know better, but don't even work in the industry.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

No need to argue about how they manage the water because it’s been this way before we were alive. The fish know what to do and the population is healthy. More water is always better but the fish will be ok. It’s way better they get cold water in the summer otherwise there would be NO trout population and everyone would complain about the lack of water in the heat.

Yes Lower Putah creek has a run of salmon (last year alone between 300-500 salmon in 2022) and lake berryesa has a strain of steelhead from the old steelhead run in the river. Putah creek flows are managed by the Putah Creek accord after a lawsuit in 1996 by the Putah creek council, UC Davis and the of Davis that guarantees enough water for the creek wildlife and the andronomus fish.As you can see the water management it's not always been the same. Get informed!!.

Wow your comment was very illustrating and informative. Of course the water management is under mismanagement to say the least.....like at Folsom lake where they are using tables extremely old that do not represent in any way today's weather patterns. That's why they were in the news recently taking about changing those tables.

Berryessa doesn’t have a steelhead strain from 70 years ago. Those are eagle lake plants that naturally spawn up trout creek/upper putah creek. Stop getting your information based off pictures from forums sir. If you want to talk about the salmon below solano dam they’re there BECAUSE of the cold water flow in the summer. We can play this game all day but the facts are out there.
