Some real Bluebird weather. This AM caught and released my first fall steelhead on the swing. A 22” wild fish.

I have a one week hall pass in early November. I was going to go do some trout spey in Montana but flights are too expensive and I don't want to drive. Maybe I will head north. I didn't steelhead fish at all last year.

Gordon, nice pattern. Can you say what type of chenille that is? I think I recognize all of the other materials. Thanks.

Nice one Gordon! Did the fish turn and miss the fly, or are you running a double fly set up? It looks as if it’s stuck in the top of the gill plate?

Default Another Fall Steelhead fly for the Rogue

Here is another typical Fall steelhead fly for the Rogue. Try to use natural, somber colors this time of year.🍁🍂🍁Click image for larger version.
