Default Baby Tarpon around Cape Coral? in May

Hello all. Given Hurricane Ian and its massive effects on land, what are your thoughts about fishing for baby tarpon around Cape Coral area, Boca Grande, etc.? Looking at a trip there around first weekend of May.

Also, any suggested guides who supply tackle/gear? If they do not supply, please suggest what gear needed for baby tarpon.

Bill Kiene, hope you are safe. maybe you have an opinion on this?

    Thank you.

Spring, Summer and Fall are all good for Baby Tarpon with flies. We like Summer best.....

In the Winter you could hit a "cold front" that would shut things down.

Most use a #7, 8 or 9 weight rod for smaller Tarpon.

The reel is not too important.

Get a good tropical fly line because the front casting deck on the boat will be warm.

Be sure to give us a report........
