This rod looks excellent, depending on how is casts?

Some of the best fly fisher I know well use these really light, softer, slower actions so they can land larger fish on lighter tippets.

If you are use to fast actions you will need to slow way down to get the line out without a tailing loop.

Good fly casters can adjust to almost any rod's action and make a good long cast.

    Billy -

I have had the opportunity to cast several of the Livingston rods at the annual Bozeman Fly Rod Gatherings during Septembers past, and the rods vary pretty significantly from model to model. Regarding "depending on how it casts?", I would suggest that interested buyers cast the rod prior to making a decision. However, I agree that the build looks wonderful.

    Good Luck, Bob

I purchased several blanks through Shane at Graywolf Rods. Price lowered.
