We have a nice fresh water canal at the back of our lot with a nice dock and boats.

It is full of LMB, Crappie, Blue Gills, Tilapia, Garfish, Gators, turtles, birds, Otters, shiners, armored catfish and who knows what else?

When we occasionally feed our Blue Gills and Shiners off the dock and larger LMB will blow up on "our fish".

Here is a nice ~5# LMB who was eating my Blue Gills and Shiners today.

He hides in the vegetation and they attacks them.

Anywhere there is fresh water in Florida we have LMB........and FL is mostly fresh water.

Google or YouTube "Headwaters Lake" near Felsmere, FL = Hottest new Trophy LMB lake in the South.

I think December through May is the best time for LMB in Florida.
