Default What to do in August if you live in the Sacramento Valley?

    1) Go to the cool Pacific Coast anywhere from Monterey north to Washington State.

Average highs are 65 degrees so take layering like a good hooded sweatshirt.

You have fresh air, seafood and great scenery.

    2) Head up to the "High Country" West of us to 6,000 feet or higher.

This is a great time for a backpacking trip or a horse and mule pack trip.

Kennedy Meadow Pack Station and campground is a great place to go for a fly fisher friendly pack trip.

Andy Guibord at Kiene's Fly Shop can help you get outfitted with the right fly fishing tackle for this high country trout fishing.
