Default My old friend Bruce Porter told me that he saw a Golden Eagle today above Watt Avenue

It dove down and picked up a ~3# Shad and flew off with it.

Has anyone seen a Golden Eagle on the lower American river?

Bruce said that Bald Eagles are fairly common place on the river.

Humm, how about an immature bald eagle? Not a behavior of golden eagles.

    Thanks Terry.....

Terry and his wife Elaine both got into bird watching some years ago and are still watching to see what new birds are coming around

Sacramento, especially due to climate change. One of these birds is the "Boat Tail Grackle" which has come up here from Mexico. We

have an invasive large Eurasian Collared Dove now too up from from down south.
