    maybe we need to put together a trout spey outing on the Yuba. it can swing really good after the salmon eggs hatch in ~December-January with alevin and tiny streamers, as well as around this time of year when insect hatches are abundant (soft hackles).

    a swing day sounds sweet

    went yesterday and got a few grabs in the morning with a black intruder, unfortunately nothing for the rest of the day swinging soft hackles and small buggers

    Yes soft hackles are killer on the lower Yuba. Spring time and August-October.
