Default Got a nice small Tarpon from Steve Potter's new boat.

Went out this morning in Steve's new Hewes Redfisher 18 on the Sebastian river.

Ran into quite a few Tarpon rolling in the smooth surface early AM.

Got a nice chrome little jumper on a Puglisi streamer.

Awesome Bill! What weight rod you throwing for those? I’ll bet that was a gas.

We use a #7, 8 or 9 weight rod with a floating line.

The water looks like weak coffee or tea so underwater the Tarpon are gold.

**Imagine you could fish the lower American river below Hwy 80 without homeless and have rolling Tarpon from 5 to 50#?

We have Tarpon in the Sebastian river year round.

I think I look pretty old in that photo? 77

Bill, you look your age and you look like I want to look at that age, doing what I want to do.

I met an older black gentleman at Hastings last month who was running pointers like I am.

His age came up and he was 82.

I'm sitting at 60 worrying how long I can keep going, you guys are my inspiration.

Seriously though Bill, that's a great pic of you.

    You're doing something right.

    Thanks Ed,

60 is still pretty young today.

80 seems to be a turning point for many though.

We "outdoorsmen" have something to get up for in the morning so we keep getting up.

Lots of my old "Geezer Patrol", men of the Greatest Generation, outlived their wives.

PS: I am going fishing again, right now.

That would be awesome fishing for them down below Business 80, I wish! I’ve had some great striper days down in that area, actually my first striper on the fly was right below the train trestle. I agree with Ed, great picture Bill. Keep doing it!!

Yes, mostly boat and pier fishing today.

Fly from the boat and spinning from the small piers in town.
