About 1975 I was fly fishing just above the Fair Oaks Bridge and hooked what I thought was a huge steelhead. It turned out to be a chrome bright 19 pound winter run Chinook salmon.

    What month Gordon?

~50 years ago in February down south of Sacramento by to tiny town of Freeport on the Sacramento river at Cory Bend (sp) we would see boats anchored up fishing with fresh sardine fillets for winter/spring run King salmon that were 20-30# and chrome.
