Default New Hobie Mirage Lynx peddle kayak - video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK4gzAc1Pew

45# without seat attached and without drive installed. 65# with everything. Very light.

36" wide so it is very stable.

Not a big kayak to load tons of gear on.

    $2,995.00

The guy on the video does a good job describing what it is best for.

Bill- how about this for the next step?

A 3HP electric engine for any kayak- Range is 300+ miles at 1mph and 5.5 miles at 6+ mph. Torqeedo makes their electric motors for use on basically any SOT kayak.

Of course you'll need to spend around $3K.

I can relate to an electric motor and a lite Lithium battery.

Bill, Torqeedo also makes a unit that fits in the pedal area and can be used interchangeably with the manual pedal unit.

Maybe use the electric motor to go to/from your fishing area and use the manual pedals while fishing.

Question is: is it fast enough to outrun the alligators in your back yard?
