Default Recently a friend sent me photos of some chomers from the Eel river.

On a very recent trip they landed 16 beautiful wild Steelhead on the Eel river....with and drift boat and fresh roe.

He said they talked to some Spey casters who had not had any luck.

Classic fly fishing for winter steelhead is not for everyone.......

Fly fishing for wild winter run Steelhead in the 1970s on the Coast could be very good at times.

The little Gualala river would get very crowed during the Christmas holidays.

Many were there that should have never come.

I heard a guy next to me that friends had 'drug along' who said, "This is not very good fishing, I liked Alaska much better."
