    Hi Bill,
This footage was filmed in conjunction with the IRON FLY NATIONALS FUNDRASER for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe.
Here is more info on the event. It was outstanding!
    OPENING DAY at PYRAMID LAKE
Pig Farm Inc. and Pyramid Fly Co. held the IRON FLY NATIONALS EVENT at Crosby Lodge, Sutcliffe. It was awesome! Over 500 people attended this three day event. It raised over $1,650.00 for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe for their Schools, and the Pyramid Lake Fisheries. It featured high energy fly tying games with over $10,000.00 worth of prizes. Costa sunglasses, Yeti coolers, Hardy rods & reels, Fenwick rods, Pflueger reels, Outcast float tubes and two signed NFL Super Bowl helmets were also in the mix. This was a HUGE event and the good news is that there will be more of them to come. Special thanks to Capt.Rob Hagerty www.pyramidflyco.com, Jay Johnson of Pig Farm Inc. and a BIG Thanks to Fred & Judy Crosby for having us for the Event.

Hey Bill the answer to your question is the Tui Chub Minnows show up in the shallows some time in the summer and it spills over into the fall. The footage that was taken is absolutely awesome and was taken in early fall at the lake at Warrior Point. This scene has been happening for years and years but is more common now that the Pilot Peak Strain of Lahontan Cutthroat Trout are more present in the lake.
