Which river or lake would you build your small fishing cabin near?

Maybe the mid Klamath and hope it becomes epic when the dams come down.

    Excellent choice.....

    Or around Lake Almanor?

I had a customer who's family had an old cabin for decades on one of the tributaries of the Klamath river.

They hiked in and road in on horse back too.

Everything had to be packed in.

Having a permanent trail trailer somewhere would be good too.

Terry Thomas and friends have had their trail trailers up near Burney, California for almost 30 years now.

Around 1980 I got divorced from my first wife and sold my littler fly shop to Les Woods.

During my 4 years out of the fly fishing business I had several different jobs.

One was framing new homes with Craig and Paul Ziegler.

It really is not that difficult, especially with all the great DIY YouTube videos.

Many old cabin up in the mountains were made from reclaimed / recycled materials too.

We bought a little shack in Dunsmuir some years ago for $20,000.

We completely rebuilt it on weekends with the help of my uncle Tom Anderson.
