    Default Quick trip to Loreto

A friend and I tagged along on our wives' golf trip to Loreto. Despite the advice I heard from a number of people that you don’t go flyfishing in Baja in November, we had a couple of really great days on small to moderate sized dorado and roosters with a bunch of green jacks, needlefish, sierra and bonito thrown in for good measure. A lot of hard pulling fish in 9 weights.

    Default Loreto....ho

Sounds like great trip. Caught a Bunch of fish and got some sun, too. Looks like it was a bit chili, tho.... I'm envious.

    Woodman,

Really glad you got to enjoy the November fishing.

Don't those little roosters pull like mad?

I called my guide in Loreto a few days ago and he told me that there are tons of bait still in Loreto which means a great outlook for next year

Already starting to think about a Baja trip for a prime time next year

I'm always shocked by how hard saltwater fish pull compared to trout.
