Over the last 50 plus years many have used the Lower American river as a learning center for fly fishing moving water.
I use sculpins because my monkey brain see big flies and goes "cool"

Sweet, love my 1134 nova 2s

Try throwing a these lines on that rod you will be amazed.
    Depending on your casting skills
Rio scandi body #6 300gr (good caster) 6/7 325gr (ok caster)
Match these with 10ft Rio SPEY versileaders these are 70grs
Rio scandi short 270 (good caster) 300 (ok caster)
Match these with 10ft Rio SCANDI versileaders these are 35grs

The scandi body will wake that rod wide open. The scandi short is a sweet line to skate with or grease line with small flies

I have a 325 scandi body in my collection. I have been using a 270 Rage compact as a scandi line, but sometimes I struggle to cast it well, maybe the Scandi body will fit better
