    Default Steelhead Still Exist

Over the last 170 years we have done about all that could be done to get rid of steelhead and salmon on the west coast but they are still here. It is pretty impressive that they are hanging in there given how bad we have made their environment for them. Some effort has been made to help them but for the most part everything we do makes it worse for them. As difficult as it is for them I feel a little bad hassling them every once in a while. Hopefully we can find a way that they can coexist with us. Think positively and appreciate them.

Bass and stripers on the other hand are sort of an invasive menace so maybe I will spend most of my time bugging them. Here are a couple of wild steelhead I hassled recently. Sorry for the negative thoughts.

I think the lower Sac is still a good bet.

Beautiful fish John! They do, let’s just hope things turn around sometime soon! I say shut down commercial fishing again, 5-10 years.
