    Default Yak Attack

The wind was my friend this week and so I decided it was time to launch an all out blitzkrieg kayak attack on the bass. They must have gotten some intel that I was coming because they were ready for me and a little elusive but I still got some of them. I lost what looked like the biggest one. He was coming straight at me as he grabbed the bug. I needed to let him turn but I set quick and he was on and off in a heartbeat. It was a painful loss I have not gotten over. I need to see a psychiatrist about all the fish I have lost in my lifetime. I expect the psychiatrist will think lost fish are a metaphor for something deeper but after several sessions they will realize I am a shallow individual and am really just obsessing on lost fish and will kick me out of the office. Some stripers were also captured during the attack but no wave of giants has moved up from the bay so it is mostly little guys but one of these days a ten pounder will latch on and stay on. Fun stuff.

Vaughn - I am glad you liked that narrative. I thought it was funny. I try not to take fishing too seriously. I work hard at it but if it ever became not fun I would not want to do it. I might not catch the most fish but if I get some good pictures and have some fun it is all good.
