So I guess the incoming storm set to arrive tonight switched the wind direction enough that
this morning for the first time in a long while (6 weeks?) we actually have clear air up here in Dunsmuir.

I was able to see the top of Castle Crags from my front yard (about 4-5 miles away).

Also the forest is gonna re-open tonight (Shasta-Trinity) so fishing opportunities are gonna improve.

Unfortunately the McCloud is still off-color but the nights are getting colder so there is hope that it will clear up soon.

Saw my first October Caddis flying around the river here in town tonight which is 2 weeks early.

I expect the river will go a bit off-color if it rains really hard tomorrow but the Sac clears quickly.

Forecast for us says 1/2 inch which is not that much but they are saying 3-6 inches at the coast so we may get a surprise.
