Default Truckee and Little Truckee Giude recommendation

Im going to be in Truckee for 2 weeks mid to late September. Hope to spend several days on the river. I thought I would hire a guide for the first day to show me around and educate me. Any recommendations for a guide that really knows that area? Thanks

Might try Jim Landis over at Big Fly Guide Service. I have never fished with him but in speaking with him several times over the years he seems to know what he is doing.

Gilligan(Matt Koles), Matt Heron and Dan LeCount are all excellent guides who fish the Truckee specifically. You can also head into Trout Creek Outfitters in downtown Truckee, Miles will point you in the right direction.

I decided this spring I'd get a guide for the first time and maybe figure this river out a little better. I highly recommend Brian Slusser. I fished with him early June on the Big T. Very knowledgeable, hard working and easy to fish with.

I think Brian Slusser is also a top Nor Cal Steelhead guide.
