    Caught in a hydro canal? Is it truly a record when it sits under those fish farm pens and eats pellets all day?

    Is a San Luis striper eligible? A brown from Lewiston lake? This is debated in many places already.

    This.

    There are some big trout in those canals, but it's hardly the image of NZ South Island that everyone here has in their heads right now...where this fish was caught on a beetle pattern on a 30' leader after helicoptering into the fjordlands.
