In this morning's paper (Appeal Democrat) there is a good article with pictures explaining what's going on with the dredging. They said that because of the dam spillway construction last year a lot of sediment has drifted down stream and shallowed out a number of areas which impedes the migration of fish coming upstream, and limits access for rescue and sheriff boats to get to where they need to go.

They are under a time constraint and need to be finished by Oct.15 so the work will be going on 6-7 days a week. It said the the same dredging has already started at the Live Oak ramp as well.

Good article, Tony
