    Default Got One

Got a big ahi on the troll yesterday. Great hit saw the splash and the fish porpoise on the lure, then the rubberband snapped and game on. Got it on ice now and will cut it later today. Lots of steaks for everyone. Love ahi fever.

A good fight on a fly rod, but not quite that big of fish. I think even a 15 wt would be outgunned. But I would love to try. My largest is around 55lbs, caught a couple years ago fishing with Jose. I can't wait to feel the pull again.

Came out real nice color and no burn. Had ahi burgers for lunch today, blackened ahi tonight for dinner. Macnut avocado poke was pretty good as well.

I'l be waiting for mine to come in the mail . So if you saw it break on top, they weren't too shallow.
If we can't make it to Aitutaki this year, we might do a side trip to Hawaii for 10 days or Alaska. Decisions, decisions.
So retirement is looking pretty good
