    Jay,

I loved your video. Add the soundtrack and you had me listening to Alice in Chains and STP for hours. It was enough to get me to consider a trip via Puerto Vallarta. It appears that you fished solo from your video or am I mistaken? Is there enough for a nonfishing companion to occupy their time in the area? I might consider leaving my better half in PV while I slip out for a few days unless I can convince her to join me. How far in advance was needed to book this trip?

Again, fantastic video, just enough to create interest in the area. Thanks for posting.

Yep I went out alone. My wife doesn’t fish and we were staying in a nice resort in zihuatanejo so she had a good time sipping cocktails by the pool.

Unfortunately zihuatanejo is two flights from puerto Vallarta. Gotta go through Mexico City.

I’d recommend you take your companion and stay in zihuatanejo. It is a wonderful town! Super friendly people and cheap! I had a massive filet mignon with shrimp for 180 pecos. That’s about 9 bucks. I’d say there’s plenty to do for a non fishing companion there.

The service I used was pretty wide open. Not a lot of tourists fishing down there.

    That is an inspiring video.......thanks.

Veteran saltwater fly fisher George Brown of Stockton, CA use to go there (Z) for 6 weeks and fish daily with his favorite guide for big

    Rooster along the surf.

They used a big spoon without a hook to tease up the big ones.

Isn't that where Andy Dufresne ended up escaping to in Shawshank Redemption?
