    Default Trout Streamer

Does anyone have any simple easy to tie streamer patterns to imitate a small rainbow trout? It doesn't have to be super detailed or anything, just a simple trouty looking pattern. Thanks!

Nate, just get some chenille that has some flash mixed in for the body (hook shank) white with crystal flash olive and silver and so on. Or you could mix your own dubbings together to get your color choice, then do a loose dubbing loop and brush it out long. Then do some marabou for the tail (white with flash mixed in on each side) and olive marabou for a wing and maybe some white for the underbelly with some underbelly flash mixed in. Think of a Wolly bugger on steroids. Here is a baby brown trout style that I tied up, may help with ideas? Going less deer hair on the next one, it’s a prototype

Just found some steelhead fry pattern tubes. Maybe it will help with more ideas?

Some of these look like good ideas! I'll try them.

Other than Jay's Rainbow Sea Habit, these types of Deceiver/Sar-Mul-Macs and 60 degree Clousers have worked for me.
