Couldn't get enough of those Tigers Wednesday................

Left home around 9:30 and arrived at the lake around 10:00.

Suited up, walked down the "path to glory" and was fishing just before 11:00.

The wind was blowing pretty hard from the northwest and it was rather cool today.

No grabs or strikes for the first 45 minutes....unlike Wednesday.

A bit before noon I hooked and landed the first fish.......a smallish Tiger.

The action where I was fishing (and on Wednesday) was a bit slower than I expected.

Around 3:00 the wind hadn't let up and I started to get cold, so I reeled up and decided to find a less windy spot to fish and warm up.

I moseyed my way back to the dam and fished that cove.
Well, I found the fish there and they were a little larger and hungry for that chartreuse bead head midge.
Come to think of it..........I didn't land ANY fish on my top fly today.........an orange and black midge.....

So, I put the hurt to a bunch of fish and I lasted till about 6:30.
I did a bit better numbers-wise than Wednesday's outing and the fish were (seemed to be) larger too.
No whoppers to brag about..............just a bit larger fish than Wednesday.

I met a few fly fishing folks from the Carson City area and they really liked how my little 2 wt. roll casts.

Nothing but a Gatorade for the ride home tonight.

Dang Tiger Trout.....................................

Bob..............................................I hear Red Lake calling my name.
