    Default Shad Set-Ups/info

Wondering for advice on shad setups, as this will be my first season targeting them. Should I use a sinking line, or would floating be better? Indicator, or swinging? Thanks. Also wondering how the Shad fishing will get on the upper part of the lower Yuba (by which I mean in the vicinity of Hallwood up to Daggure dam), and roughly when they will be up to that point? Any info helps. Thanks!

Shad cannot jump the dam at Dagguere. All the shad in the Yuba are below that point.

Floating line with a sink tip on the swing is the ticket.

Call or drive to Kiene's Fly Shop on the weekend and bring all your fly gear.

Andy will help you as he has fished the river for about 30 years.
