You can fool all of the people some of the time and Trump did that, but history will not be kind to him. I would not agree on him being a successful politician. He won one election and then proceeded to lose the House and the Senate and then the White House for his party. He passed one consequential bill, tax cuts, through reconciliation, and thats it.

For those deriding the likes of Joe Biden or others who have spent 50 years in public service, you should know they would make 10X on the outside lobbying for special interests. They choose not to do so because they have ideals that they value more than money.

Find out how much Biden, Pelosi, Feinstein or Newsom were worth when they started and how much are they worth now with just a politician salary or how much money their spouses made knowing the right info or signing the right contracts. Don't be mistaken, that's why the are in politics. If they were lobbying, which by the way, is were some politicians end up after loosing elections, they would have to work for a living.

Pelosi Feinstein and Newsom were all independently wealthy before entering politics.

Its understandable that Americans have a cynical attitude about people who serve in public office, its fed 24/7 in the media. "they are all grifters" but thats just not true. I don't expect to change your mind, but I know it not to be the case.
