Fished this morning down low and got into double digits before the bobber guys showed up. Hot flies: Red Headlight, Ronald McDonald and Pink Lipstick.

Fish this morning and again I got into double digits. There were more anglers (Brian and John both fly fishermen, Andy with his client and a couple of bobber guys) but everyone was catching shad so it was fun for all. A big striper shut the bite off completely so every one left except for Andy with his client. The Ronald McDonald worked for me followed by the Firecracker.

Fished early this morning and the bite was off. The first fish I landed was a schoolie striper so that’s why the shad weren’t around. A gear guy tossing a swim bait across from me ftold me he had some followers but no takers. I ended up with only single digits at that spot. I moved up river and ended up in double digits. The hot fly was the Ronald McDonald.

I would say that the size is very important....small.

Did some scouting mid-river. There were a few shad but only a few were caught by Peter Villarreal and Ben Thompson’s clients. Got 5 to hand with the Ronald.
