Default Confession: I am retired and watch more YouTube videos than most humans.

I watch fishing, hunting, vintage cars, vintage motorcycles, backpacking videos, boating, guns, etc.

Here is a video I just watched that I thought was inspiring where a young gal hikes in, makes a camp and with a fire.

These videos are called "Bushcrafting" and they just seem so interesting.

What kind of YouTube videos do you watch?

I watch YouTube videos on how to fix and do things. I watched one today on how to clean clams. I watched one last week on digging them. For almost anything I am trying to figure out how to do I watch a YouTube video. I often do whatever it is I am trying to do first, find that it is not working and then watch the video and try to do it right the second time.

I don’t like to watch trip videos. It takes the mystery and discovery out of life.

    Thanks John

I watched a lot of videos on clamming up on the beaches of Oregon and Washington too.

I love the DIY or 'How to' videos as well.

I rebuilt an air cooled VW motor by watching a series of videos recently.

I watch flyover videos for the most famous Northern California rivers and dream (plan?) of my next fishing trip!

    Sacramento River flyover
    Klamath River flyover
    Russian River flyover
    Feather River flyover
    Smith River flyover

    and many more!

Yup. mostly "How to fix it" videos. If I get sucked into the fishing videos, hours seem to disappear.

These motivating films can therefore be useful. They serve as a reminder of the underlying realities rather than providing the answers. Click Here

There are tons of YouTube videos on knots alone.

    Zillions on fly tying.

Recently I rebuilt a 1974 VW Beetle air cooled engine from watching dozens of great videos by real VW mechanics.

I am retired and when the weather here in Florida is not good for fishing (real cold and/or windy) I can watch videos.

No need for libraries anymore, it is all on the Internet.

I did a full remodel of our house over a few years- every time I had questions, You tube university took care of me.

I too have learned so much from online videos. I am "confident" I can repair or build anything.

I recently found out I have been tying my shoes wrong for 70+ years (as have most people). I watched a 2 minute video on TED.com by Terry Moore on how to properly tie your shoes- and I am a changed man.
