Default Zhu Bamboo Fly Rod 2 pc. 8' 6 wt.

*SOLD* Zhu rods were sold on eBay for years, now they are on Amazon, and run $200.

I've had mine for maybe 5 years, and used it twice, both times at Rancho Seco, and both times had a blast with some mega Bluegill. The problem is I fish mostly from a float tube, and you really don't want bamboo in the water, and that's how I fish--tip in the water. Both times when I came home I steamed, dried, and tweaked the tip back to totally straight. You have to do that to most any cane rod, some even when it rains.

I fish mostly glass, and I will say that my experience with bamboo has proven them to be the best fishing rods between glass, graphite, and bamboo. As far as casting, they are smooth, but when you are in the lower end, they can be heavy and the Zhu does get a little heavy after a couple of hours of pounding water. It is truly a delight to fish though!

I would say the rod is 10/10. It really has only been used twice, and is as new with both tips in perfect shape.

    SOLD
