So Hat and McLeod open all year. Sounds good.
The Fall River open to bait fishing?! Can't understand that at all. Can't even imagine people bait fishing it - certainly hope not.
Artificial lures ( treble ? ) for Fall River drainage. Except Bear Creek. No bait. After Oct 1 barbless hooks until Friday preceding Memorial day. 2 fish limit from Sat before Memorial Day until Sept 30, no size limit. 0 fish after that.
Hat Creek is 0 fish and artificial lures and barbless hooks year around.

Hey Bill:
Link does not work for me.
Looks like you tried to link to your email.
Google says no.
Here is a link to the statement on Cal-Trouts Website:

Hey Bill,
The link does not work for me either but the one listed further down does.
I read through a lot of the regulations after reading the Cal Trout and TU concerns and I cannot find where "bait" is allowed on the Fall River area...?
"Artificial lures" is what I find, which of course can mean "spinners" and other lures cast by means other than fly rods....but no mention of "bait". Does anyone else see this differently? (It is always tedious reading the regs and I certainly can miss things! I once found myself standing on the "wrong side" of Hwy 89 on Sagehen Creek! Luckily I double checked before I even tied on a fly....and no warden wandered by)
In a general sense I agree with what CT and TU are recommending as I think the more conservative we can be the better the future for everyone.
Bill, your link doesn't work for me.
While I'm fine with the new regs as they pertain to the waters I frequent, including a couple of stricter regs on two waters where I think it will do a lot of good. As to what seems to be the end game of TU & CT, I've never been onboard with the idea of eliminating or grossly downscaling the states stocking program on resort lakes and streams. Entry level kids of parents with zero angling skills, the me & pop's on the bank crowd & those with mobility issues etc. need easy access places where they've got a snowballs chance to catch a few fish. Without them, we loose a lot of future license sales and voices. While I love the style that I choose to fish, I know it's not for everyone and it shouldn't be.

Apologies sounds like I read the regs incorrectly and bait is not allowed
