    Default Stripers and Bass

Certain words sound good together. Stripers and bass are two words that are starting to sound good together to me. Smallmouth and pike are another combination I like. If you are going on a trip for smallmouth and pike it is going to be good especially if it is north of the border. The best word combination though is silvers and rainbows. I did a few floats in Alaska for silvers and rainbows. I get shivers when I hear silvers and rainbows. If someone invites you on a trip for silvers and rainbows, do not be late.

Stripers and bass were the thing today. The water was 54+ degrees and it seemed like the bass were starting to move around. There was even a bit of a bass bite in the afternoon.

The water clarity is good. A couple of weeks ago it was 1 to 2 feet of visibility which was marginal.

I don’t feel like I am on fire. Sometimes luck falls from the sky like a hammer but I cover a lot of water to find a striper. It might start getting better with the warmer water. I am heading north to OrWash at the end of next week. I bought an orange and black intruder today. Hopefully it will find me a shiny new steelhead up there.

Good luck on your trip. I KNOW you will enjoy it.
By the way.....shouldn't your stripping bandage be on your index finger?

I hurt my thumb putting a screw into stucco and needed it well protected. OrWash should be good. Lots of rain up there right now. Hopefully the rivers won’t be too high and I will get some good conditions.
