Default New California Winter Steelhead book thank you

We want to thank everyone who ordered a copy of our new book California Winter Steelhead, Life History and Fly Fishing. Since we announced pre-orders for the book and copies became available early this month, almost one-third of the 500 limited edition hardback copes have been purchased and mailed to individuals all over the United States. A couple books have been shipped to Canada and even one copy to Singapore! Although the book covers the early history of steelhead fly fishing in California and rivers that historically or presently support steelhead runs, California Winter Steelhead seems to appeal to anglers all over. The book is slightly longer at almost 300 pages than our previous book, The Half-Pounder, A Steelhead Trout, but follows a similar thirteen-chapter full color format. Each copy is signed and numbered and we are hopeful to be able to make personal book signings and presentations to fly fishing clubs in the future.

Dennis' new book "California Winter Steelhead" and the movie "Rivers of a Lost Coast" have both saved the wonderful history.

Some years back I was afraid the history of this would all be lost with the passing of the Greatest Generation.....thank God.

    Default Chinook salmon book?

California Chinook salmon? Likely not, but we are already working on California Summer Steelhead, Life History and Fly Fishing to complete a trilogy of California steelhead books - half-pounders, winter steelhead, summer steelhead. Similar to the two previous books, California Summer Steelhead would cover information on historical runs in Central Valley rivers that were eliminated by dam construction, and also the existing spring and late summer/early fall summer steelhead populations in North Coast rivers, i.e. Klamath, Salmon, Trinity and Eel.

It would also be interesting to see the correlation of the demise of our steelhead in relation to the increase of grape production.....have another glass of wine!
