I was very lucky to go on one of our Kiene's annual group trips to Loreto when we had one of our best trips.

I used a 9' #12 line rod with a floating line, short heavy leader with a saltwater popper most of the time.

I used my entire body with one false cast, aiming slightly up some and casting down wind to the edge of the Sargassum

floating weed patches. As I violently stripped in my popper as many as 6 medium size "schooly" Dorado chased by offering.

One thing to remember is that they are not only aggressive to surface flies they run and jump like crazy.

**One of the leading experts on Loreto is Carl Blackledge and I know if you wanted to go next summer he would give you the low

down, insider info. This trip to Loreto is the best value in blue water saltwater fly fishing trips.....and close for the West coasters.

    Awwww Bill,

That was a nice thing to say. We have plenty of guys that go to Loreto every year and just have a ball. At diner all the guys are all excited talking at once about that days fishing, I guess a lot like your striperfest? Our latest thing now is to kill a Dorado and have fish taco's for lunch that the hotel will do for free. Of course if anybody wants phone numbers or other guide information, just send an email and perhaps I can help you out. Remember I don't sell trips however I can help you get your trip cheaper and more enjoyable.
