I am here at my place in eastern Idaho, it has snowed 3x already this year including about a foot over a 72 hour period earlier this week. The new storm just started blowing in now, another foot on the way between now and Sunday morning they say.

I think it's getting about time to come back to Sacramento for the winter.

Damn . . . we'll find out next week! Heading to the Rogue next week for a couple of days. First time I have fished it. Forecast calls for rain, but also 32 degrees, could be rain or snow at that point I gather?!

There are Redfish in every mile of Florida's both coasts. They are an inshore fishery mostly.

If you go out with a good guide or top local FL angler they catch Redfish almost every day of the year.

"Inshore" we have Tarpon of all sizes, Snook, Redfish, Seatrout, Ladyfish, Jacks, Sheephead, Drum, and many other species.

Florida has freshwater fishing to die for too with Largemouth everywhere, panfish and down south near Miami we have "Exotics" too.

Florida is so underrated.....it is as good as Belize and much closer......it fished Belize for 20 years and Florida for 15 now.

Come to Florida in the Spring or Fall, get some days with a good fly fishing guide and then drive around "road hunting".

If you and a fishing buddy set up a trip with a good guide, rent a room and a car it is very affordable.

Kayak and SUP fly fishing in Florida is insanely popular now............

I sent the picture to Bill saying I thought I would bbq that night. We’ve had off and on snow for the last two weeks. No great amounts but temps have been cold. Expect this winter could be fairly severe. Like the rest of the West we can use the water.
