    Unhappy Verona marina closing/sold?

Recently a fishing friend told me that Verona Marina at the mouth of the Feather has been sold. They supposedly have plans to build a casino there. I know from personal experience that the entire area there floods with the high water. I have actually launched a boat off the levee road by the entrance gate during high water....I don't know about a casino here because of the high water.

Not enough land for buildings and parking. Access to the Feather without this marina would be tuff. Anybody have any info on this?

Yeah it got bought months back by one of the tribes- cant recall which one. Whether or not they build a casino? I agree its not a great place for that.

not sure what they have planned but they kicked all the tenants out.

If the ramp there isn't available you could also come down from Knights Landing or go up from Discovery Park.
It's quite a ride from Discovery but I've done it several times when the shad and stripers are in.
Coming down from Knights landing isn't very far at all.

    Default Verona....

I won't miss fishing up there. Haven't been up there for some time and found it over crowded when last there. If you want to launch from the Sacramento area, there's a launch ramp/parking, etc., near the airport. Check out the link:

This ramp will cut off some of the distance between Discovery Park and Verona.
