We did get some Rock crabs and Red crabs because this Saturday, November 7, 2020, is the opener for Dungeness crabs.

    Mr T -

I was really pleased with everything.

Used my Yeti 65 cooler as a driver's seat.

It cruised well with 3 guys in it.....faster out of the hole with one or two.

I forgot to check the speed with the speedo app on my iPhone.

Flat out was 5,500 rpms and it would still stay on plane at 4,000 which was a nice cruising speed.

It is dimensionally close to the 15' Whaler rated for Max HP of 60hp....

I got a good deal on a used Yamaha 4 stroke 50hp at Sutter Marine in Yuba City.

It is 15'4" long with a 6'9" beam at the bottom rear and a deepV hull weighing 900# bare.

Perfect for two anglers fly fishing or 3 people conventional and crabbing.

Got about $6,000 in it so far.

I had one glitch......had two 6 gallon portable fuel tanks but when I switched to the second tank on the third day in did not work.

Still need to find the money for a good GPS/Fish Finder and a bow mounted Auto-Piolot electric motor.

It is the end of the halibut/salmon/striper season. It is best June/July/Aug/Sept.

We drug some bait (frozen anchovies) on the incoming tide with no luck except a 20# nurse shark, a bullhead and a Jack Smelt.

June is about as early as I would go over there.

Hopefully we can go the same time?
