    Default More Pyramid Info......................

    Looks like Pyramid MAY re-open, no earlier than November 30, 2020.

    Here's the link:

    I haven't seen any new info regarding the "proposed fee increases".

    I understand there is a significant surge in COVID-19 cases in the Pyramid Lake community per a recent radio report. I have not been able to find any additional news on this subject.

    As I have never been, how do this season vs. Previous seasons pricing compare?

    Well, here you go ICE.............................

    Last years seasonal (2019-2020) permit was $ 96.00.

    This year (with the new pricing schedule and no seasonal permits) if I did my once a week trip, It'd cost me:

    $ 24.00 per day X 4 weeks = $ 96.00 per month.
    $ 96.00 per month X 8 months (2020 fishing season) = $ 768.00.

    Looks like the Paiute Tribe priced me away from the lake.
    Mummm ............. I may give it a try once or twice this year.

    Two words ............................... financial sodomy.

    Remember these new prices and restrictions are only for the period of Covid. They will revisit these prices and restrictions once we are out of the Covid woods.

    I wonder if that will be the case- I don't see where they tie the increase directly to covid related factors in the document.

    Default New Permit Fees

    Not sure whether the new fees will continue into the future but it looks like the number of camping permits issued is being limited (with the exception Pelican Bay) to accommodate social distancing. The higher cost of daily fishing fees will take care of that concern as BSs' post reflects. So, maybe the fee increase will be revised downward when the Tribal Council removes their emergency declaration.... (or not)

    So does one need both a fishing permit and day-use permit? And also if one was to go camp there does the camping include the day-use permit and or fishing permit? To me it looks like you would need to permits purchased for a day of fishing please correct me if I'm wrong.
