Default Half-pounders on the lower Feather and lower Yuba rivers.

Lincoln Gray said they were getting some Half-pounders in the low flow of the lower Feather river on caddis pupa. etc.

He also said that the lower Yuba river below Dagerre dam has some small steelhead too.

Lower Sacramento river is good too for resident wild rainbow trout and some Fall steelhead.

I caught a nice 16" wild one on the American last weekend in the morning (plus a few smaller ones, also wild).

Congrats Troutsource. I also hooked into some nice chunky half pounders this week. With cooler nights and mornings more fish are moving into the system. Look for the oxygenated water.........

I wish I had a jet and could get into that water consistently without a guide. There is some really interesting fishing down there for trout/steelhead, shad, and stripers.

I swung up some halfies/trout above the dam a few weeks ago. I will probably try again later this week or next weekend depending what the weather does, but of course the flows are down to almost nothing which probably is not great for swinging.
