Headed up to the Truckee house for a weekend of fun with the granddaughter and family. We spent more time at miniature golf than on the river, which judging by the crowds was not a bad thing. With Forest Service lands closed up there, everyone, and I mean everyone, was pounding the Truckee. Access to every other stream was off-limits. This was possibly the most fishermen I have ever seen working the Truckee.

I squeaked in an early morning run for 3 hours early on Sunday morning, and got a couple of dinkers in 3 hours. The water is low above Prosser inflow, pushing the fish into selected areas of oxygenated and deeper water. No luck with streamers, but the Purple Haze paid off with the little ones.

The fall cool has started, 37 degrees at 6:30 am! I think I'll give it a month or so for the crowds to thin out and hit some other waters.
