    Default North Umpqua fire

Not much info out there just yet, but there are several fires along the N. Umpqua between Glide and Steamboat. Steamboat Inn was evacuated yesterday, and the highway is closed along the river. Diamond Lake area was also evacuated so the highway closure might go all the way out toward Crater Lake, I'm not sure.

Wild times we be living in.

Yup it’s burned bad and closed diamond lake to glide.
There’s two main fires in the fly water, star fire started around Susan creek and Archie creek fire.
They’ve converged. It’s more than likely the Moore’s have lost there home, along with the folks in smith springs and idleyde.
    A tragic event.
    Much worse that 2017

F’ing sucks. Doesn’t look good for Steamboat Inn property at all.

As of yesterday, both Steamboat and Dogwood Hotel are still standing, but can’t be good long term for the fishery.

As of 9/12 am, 10% of the population of Oregon is under some type of evacuation warning/orders.

Can't be good for man, beast or fish.

    Stay safe

It sounds like both Susan Creek and Bogus were both largely destroyed. Don’t have an “official” source though.

Steamboat's facebook page had this to say today.

"Steamboat was surrounded by fire but survived and the fire has past. Thank you so much to the teams that protected this treasure. It will be some time before we are able to return and longer until we are able to welcome guests back. Our families, our community, and our forest need time to heal. Our hearts are with those that were not as lucky and those still in the path of the fires in this area and all over our beautiful state."

    Default Dogwood has fire damage

I'm not sure how extensive it is, but Norm is rebuilding and will persevere it appears. For those who know Rich Zellman (steelheadwater@gmail.com), he's taking up a collection to help Norm recover from this devastation.
