Having owned many (Probably Too Many...) canoes in my life I have to chime in that this particular canoe is a joy to paddle and fish from. I owned one for may years and only sold it after I bought my Navarro (much lighter) and gave up paddling in rocky rivers.
That price is a steal if the Royalex is in good condition.

Good canoe, and at a reasonable price. I wish I could buy it. Gosh, why I miss the best opportunities. I don't want to buy a new canoe, because I won't use it so often. But looking on Outdoor Life Cafe, I see so many gorgeous canoes that my dad will love them. And my dad deserves all the best, for sure. He has Chestnut Pal, wood canoe, and as he said, he is happy with his baby. But, guys, my year discovery is that Old Town Discovery 119. It has an open space perfect for my dad's dog and a comfortable seat. Soon, it is his birthday, I'm thinking seriously about buying it.

I have an old town stillwater canoe that I would sell if someones interested. simular to the one sold here but fiberglass hull so quite a bit lighter. 56lbs 12' wicker seats that were replaced a couple years ago and a removable motor mount.
