Default Fishing on the weekends is usually busy but better than staying home.

One of the huge bonuses to being retired, or a school teacher, is that you can fish during the week and avoid all the crowds.

Many go off to a fly fishing destination on Sunday because there are many open camp sites then.

Some weekenders though wait until Monday to come home so traffic can be heavy then too.

We go on Tuesday mornings to the coast (~2hrs) and drive home on Thursday AM. Pretty good traffic then.....

At 75 I am starting to get more limited, physically, all the time so retire as soon as you can........trust me.

These days I even try to avoid Mondays and Fridays. On the waters I fish you will often have lots of anglers prefishing for derbies on Fridays and then of course on Mondays the fish are beat up from the weekend.
