    Default Opinions on Bauer Reels?

Would like to hear opinions from owners of Bauer Reels.
USA made reels (Montana?) which I like but curious if there have been any problems?
Of course I'd like to hear good things as well.

I have a number of Bauer's. No problems at all except for one of my reels cork drag system slipped. it was fixed in less than a day. Of course this was when the company was based in Salinas, CA before moving the operation to OR.
A few years prior to Jon Bauer getting into the reel bussiness, I had him in one of my Basic fly fishing courses that I taught at a JC in Salinas. To think a few years later he would be in the fly fishing industry building reels.

I had a couple of the original mackenzie reels and never had and trouble other than cringing every time I nicked that beautiful finish.
I also liked having the drag knob recessed in the front. something I never adjust fighting a fish.
