I have two Powell LT rods. One is a 9'6" 5-6wt. and the other is a 9'6" 7-8wt. (nicknamed the "Summer Run"). The "Summer Run" was built by Dave Simmons Jr. and presented as a gift to his dad. A friend of mine bought it from Dave Simmons. Sr. (never fished) and I bought it from my friend, who also never fished it. I have fished it less than a half-dozen times. I have often been tempted to sell it, but I know that I would regret it if I did. The 5/6 rod is my go-to rod for fishing streamers using a Cortland Camo intermediate sink line. They are great rods.

They are great rods. I would not sell the Summer Run. That’s a very popular model and as it’s not a factory built rod you’d probably not get what it’s really worth if you sold it. I’d definitely hang onto it.
