Thanks for posting that Bill! Great read. Amazing that there are still unpublished stories by him.
Great writer, love "Big Two Hearted River", been to his house caught browns and bows on the big wood. Been to his grave and smoked a cigar there. Sad he lost his friend Gary Cooper and his mind and then ended his won life, but it was on his terms.
Try to get my students to write like him, short and too the point and paint a picture that is left to the imagination of the reader.
My largest Marlin was 800lbs, hated to kill it. Let them all go now when I can. Magnificent fish.

It's too long ago to remember details but my dad and Hemingway served in WW1 together. Both drove ambulances and went to boot camp in Georgia. I believe it was Ft. Benning. I've got a great picture of the entire ambulance corp while there and can spot my dad, but I'm not familiar with what Hemingway might have looked like at that time.
