    Default Mono County Fishing

    For those of us who fish in Mono county, the opening date has been moved to tomorrow.
    Saturday May 23.

    That's a little more than a week sooner than was planned.

    Caveat is that "Leisure Travel", Hotels & Campgrounds are still verboten per the Commandant.

    Neighboring Inyo county remains closed
    Steelhead gear = $6287, no of adults caught = 3, amortized cost = $2,095.67, beaching that 30" fish and letting it go = priceless

    Alpine asked for their delay to be lifted a week ago.

    Just received this from Sierra Drifters;
    Update for Opening Day!

    Mono County requested an early termination of the fishing season delay. This means that fishing season in Mono County is officially open as of today May 23rd. Crowley Lake remains closed to drive in traffic and motorized vessels until May 30th currently. All other waters in the county are now open.

    Best to all,
    Larry S
