Thanks for posting that Bill! I was doing business up in Seattle and on the OP when they took the dams out - great to see the wild fish recover like that. They still have an Indian hatchery downriver for winter steelhead and salmon if I’m not mistaken, so this seeing the wild recovery is awesome. Hope it continues!
Thanks Bill! That’s so cool to see. We all need causes for optimism these days, and this is extremely encouraging.

Just what I needed. Thanks for posting that Bill.
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.
GRAND video Bill.
Shows what CAN be done.
WE still have some REAL steelhead behind Warm Springs Damn too......but DO NOT take the damn out. There is no longer a REAL river for them.

IMHO opponents to dam removal often cite there is no actual proof that the fish will return.
So, results like seen on the Elwah lessen their reasons.
I think that is a huge reason "they" are delaying the dam removal on the Klamath-- because if the fish return to even 50% of what they were pre-dams, the Klamath will receive world-wide attention and be held up as the model of what can be again.
And a huge fear for the anti-dam people is that success on the Klamath will bring focus on the lower Snake River and tributaries.

Awesome viddy. I agree it shows the possibilities on the Klamath. A good year with dams in place on the Klamath will be nothing compared to the returns once the dams are gone. The reach above Copco has an amazing trout population just waiting for the wall to come down. Can't wait to blow up a summer on a dry line muddler up there!
