Got out for a couple hours yesterday. Saw one fish hooked and that was it.

Yesterday afternoon/evening we drifted from Sailor bar to Rossmoor... Very slow... saw fish everywhere but they had lockjaw. Just a couple fish to the net above Sunrise.

Fished this morning and it was very crowded. Only saw 1 landed between 30-40 anglers. Earle and I floated this afternoon and it was work getting one here and there. We found a bucket at the end and put over 40 to the boat.

I guess floating the river has some advantages.......

I think past Kiene's employee Brett Humphries is going out Tuesday with Captain Andy Guibord.

Floated this morning with Earle Sloan. We were hooking shad but the fun ended when a shad pulled Earle’s Sage rod and reel overboard. If anyone finds it around Sailor Bar Island please let me know. I know what a bummer it is to lose a rod and reel!

Andy Guibord can dive for it?

Should be easy to find with a mask, snorkel and fins at 1700 cfs?

Waded this morning and got more than a handful. Hot fly was the my Red Headlight. Best fishing was when it was raining. Saw a bunch of anglers but not one of them hooked any. The best news was that Earle’s rod and reel were found by Karl Bly (American River Lost and Found). Karl is a kayaker who’s hobby is finding stuff in the river. Thanks Karl! Earle was stoked when he got home today!
